Trolley Guide

Relax and ride the Trolley once you arrive in the Smokies!  You can move all around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg via the Trolley and even go from city to city - a great way to explore the area.

Pigeon Forge Trolley - Trolleys run throughout Pigeon Forge for 25 cents per ride per person at 20 minute intervals daily from 8:30 AM to midnight April-October, 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM November - December.  There are over 100 stops throughout the city.  Just look  for the bear, and the trolley will arrive there shortly.  Drivers accept exact change or Fun Time Trolley tokens, which may be purchased at either the Pigeon Forge Dept of Tourism Welcome Center or the Fun Time Trolley Office.  Call 865-453-6444 for information, directions and handicapped vehicle.

Pigeon Forge to Gatlinburg Trolley - Trolleys will load at Patriot Park in Pigeon Forge and go to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center on 441.  From there, transfer to the Gatlinburg trolley.

Gatlinburg Trolley - You can board the trolleys at more than 100 locations throughout the City of Gatlinburg.  Anywhere you see the Street Trolley sign, you're just minutes away from climbing aboard.  The Gatlinburg Trolleys are color-coded by route.  Look for the signs posted on the front and sides of each trolley to ensure you are on the correct route.  Gatlinburg Trolley routes include:

Purple - Parkway and Welcome Center - Route serves the free Gatlinburg Park-N-Ride lot and Gatlinburg Welcome Center located on the Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.  Route ends at the Gatlinburg Mass Transit Center at traffic light #5 in downtown Gatlinburg.  Fare is 25 cents.  Exact change required.

Red - Uptown Loop - Runs from the Gatlinburg Mass Transit Center to south on River Road to the Parkway then north on Historic Nature Trail by the Gatlinburg Convention Center.  Trolley continues on Airport road down Cherokee Orchard Road to Baskins Creek then enters back onto the Parkway at traffic light #6.  Fare is 25 cents.  Exact change required.

Yellow - Arts & Crafts Community - Runs 10AM to 6PM.  Delightful mini-trolleys service the famous Great Smoky Mountain Arts & Crafts Community.  Trolleys may be boarded at the Gatlinburg Mass Transit Center or any stop along Highway 321.  Trolley makes the entire Glades/Buckhorn Loop.  One fare provides unlimited trolley access along route.  Fare is $1.00 all day.  Exact change required.

Gold - National Park - Runs 11AM to 9PM.  The National Park trolley runs June thru October and begins at the  Gatlinburg Mass Transit Center.  Trolley runs down River Road then onto the Parkway into the Park.  Stops include the Sugarlands Visitor Center, Laurel Falls Parking Area and Elkmont Campground before returning to Gatlinburg.  Trip lasts about 1 1/2 hours.  Fare is $2.00 round trip.  Exact change required.
 

Pink - Dollywood & Pigeon Forge - Offer convenient access to Dollywood and the Pigeon Forge Trolley Center at Patriot Park.  Trolleys depart approximately every hour in season.  Departure is from the Gatlinburg Mass Transit Center at traffic light #5.  Fare is 75 cents each way.  Exact change is required.

Blue - East Parkway & City Hall - Route serves the free Park-N-Ride lot located next to City Hall on Highway 321.  Offers convenient access to shops, lodgings and attractions.  Route begins at the Mass Transit Center and runs a loop to the Gatlinburg Community Center and back.  Fare is 25 cents.  Exact change is required.
